I've yet to get scales but they are definitely on the cards, along with a thermometer and pouring metal jug thing as letting the water cool in a gravy boat is getting old.
That said, I have been very pleased with the dose so far. Scales can only help but I'm certainly enjoying each coffee now.
let me know how the metal filter compares over the paper ones.
