Excellent Gabe, that is indeed really nice.
Would be a great combination with this rucksack/porteur bag

I love the use of the leader frame. Nice practical bike!

All this component and no mini v-brakes? (@raw singlespeed cyclocross).

Untrimmed stays on fenders = unfinished bike.
Fenders without compound curves = window dressing. An extreme assertion, but they're not nearly as effective. -

why would you have mini vs when you can have regular ones?

(a question rather than a provocative rhetorical statement..)Moreover why would you not use normal v's and Tektro RL 520 levers and then avoid the need for mini v's or travel agents

^ Because they wouldn't be carbon or say Record.
^^ because v-brakes need more cable pull than canti's, mini-v's and calipers. This means when you use normal road leavers you don't get the right modulation. Basically you pull and nothing happens, until all of a sudden they lock and you're almost thrown off the bike*.
FWIW I think if the travel agents work well then it seems good all round. Leavers in a shape you like, carbon for the winter cold, brakes that are simple to adjust and effective.
Altho, if I was going to spend all that money pimpin' a pompino, I'd have gone for discs, carbon forks, and wider rims.
- bought a 2nd hand cx bike with v's and sti's - sketchiest sober journey I've had.

i know this mate, but the bike is built for the purpose, and the levers are available so why would ed choose a mini v over a v brake?

That's not a pompino, but I assume you knew that.

This^
I'd go as far as saying they are better for off-road use, as the lever curve gives better braking from the hoods.

Brickman - what rp machine do you have?
Think it started life as a rapman3, but its been extensively modified and updated from the original.
we,ve produced components and models on it that even people with 50k+ commercial grade machines say cannot be done, yet out had been done :)Back to functional bikes in same said factory I've found a pretty damn immaculate 3spd rudge town bike, even original tyres and dyno to front and rear lights works perfect. And behind that a sold looking 50s tandem frame, I feel a winter project coming on :)

As other has said about the Campag levers, I didn't find the RL 520 comfortable, it's also a very limiting choices compared to the wider variates of drop handlebar brake (Dia Compe, Shimano, SRAM to name but a few).

Tis a fair answer.
Not sure I'd go as far as installing travel agents just for a slightly different hood shape. At least not on a bike designed for off-road use.

Also since when mini v-brakes were bad? they perform really well on mine, I don't quite get why it's needed as there's barely any clearance left on the fork, but a massive gap in the brakes.
Everyday riding: it's somewhere to put handbag + coat and have them in easy reach
Fully laiden riding: it's extra load area when the rear rack and side baskets are full.
Low riders wouldn't work for me because I never found panniers practical. You have to have them with you all the time just in case you need them, then you have to either remove them when you stop or worry about them being nicked. When you finally do need to use them they are never the right size.
My setup is intended for large items and shopping bags - apart from the racks on the bike I just need to carry a couple of bungies and a cargo net.
