Thing is, they ride what they're given, some of them obviously have says in position and such (like Mark Cavendish drastic change of saddle height before the race, TBF he does have a habit of changing it regularly), but they're paid to ride what they're given regardless, saddle are a great example as some may not find a certain model comfortable, but they rode it netherless.
In the past, racers were paid to says they rode on a certain saddle, says Ideale saddle whether they actually rode Brooks, simply because they were more comfortable, unfortunately not possible to claim such thing nowadays due to media and television.
