Well lighter than I have, would like something under 2kg.

Like other has said, Open Pro + ambrosio/condor/system ex is a good combination (with a road front hubs).
-
• #879
What is a good lightish hub/wheelset? That could be used for daily and training.
Has everyone stuck with the same gearing on their Langsters?
open pro/system ex has been good to me.

Anyone used Token hubs or any experience with them?
Looks like Goldtec are the answer!!! Ceramic..... Mmmmmm nice

How it looks now I finally have it...
Did you strip off the red paint?
-
• #882
^ Nah, it's the 2011 model. Just took the stickers off, changed the bar tape, saddle, seat post, tyres, calliper, lever and cable.
Sold it now :(

I definitely prefer the chrome look (and I don't like the red frame so much).
I wonder what happens if I strip the color with a paint remover (like nitromotors), maybe the result will be similar.. -
• #884
Well, then it won't be chrome, it'll be raw. Just get all black parts though and it'll look great.

Saw this on display in the Condor shop in Grays Inn Rd on Thursday and had my first 'bike porn' moment. Beautiful bike, so pretty!

Ah, sussed the acronym - sorry I'm clearly a bit dense.
Having said that, the thread started in May 2008 and there are 888 posts!
Cheers

Seriously? Is it pretty much the only bike you've ever seen?
Fucking horrible things.

You ordered a bicycle, and then ask if it's any good?
Surely it should be the other way round?

Fair point. I guess you've never acted on impulse and then wondered what people think. I'll make my own mind up when it arrives - but I don't get it for a few days so wondered what people think.

Ahh . . welcome to LFGSS . . no better group of people to piss on your parade, espousing vitriol agaisnt your new pride and joy that only moments ago you thought was the most marvelous pedaling machine on the planet, but is now nothing more than a source of embarrassment ,only matched in shame by your use of the word fixie.
On a serious note the Langster Steel aint a half bad place to start for a first fixed gear, so its not all doom and gloom

It look nice, but do it flip your biscuit, you feel me?
If it's for daily use and training why use light? "Durable" is the word you want.
