  • You will have to take your watch in to get a quote, they wouldnt give me one over the phone

  • I'll pop by after work and see if they're still open.

  • lae , thanks for the strap i recieved it this morning.

  • Harrong - 22mm straps? I have an unused Seiko rubber divers strap that would fit the bill.

Looks like its a 20mm strap size.
    Thanks for the offer Chris

  • Can anyone point me to a online watch strap shop that they have used?

There was one on this thread before but I have gone back and cant seem to find it

No problems. I have some 20mm Seiko Diver's Fat pins and a black and orange Nato strap. A beer based deal could be struck.

  • are you still trying top offload those pins, arooger?

  • Have you tried the little jewellers on The Strand/Fleet Street? The old fella there completely serviced and replaced a coupla parts on my O&W Pilot for £90...

    these guys are great.

  • God bless ya Murts,

  • I have some 22mm and some 20mm. I ordered them, needed one pair of each, guy sends several pairs instead. They are seriously just going spare in a drawer. I'm really unlikely to need them. They're a bit like bar-end plugs, essential but kind of a pain to have to buy them. Knowwhatimean?

  • no, explain?

    and the fact *ed speak
that they will last for eva!

  • Alsal can't do it, Sinn have parts that are unique to them and Alsal only do the most common of watches.

    Hah.

Though, that means I have to send it off.

  • Sell the forum

  • Anyone for the father and son set.... Joeslain & Damo mebbe

  • Right, just poped in to ask how to set the time on my new manual, but have now found out that I was just being too gentle with it (!)

Second question, is it possible to get the strap pins out without special tools? Or best to just take it to a watch shop?

  • You can sometimes use a dart.

  • I just use a small screwdriver or the end of a knife

  • the blunt side of a craft knife blade works

If you can be arsed to travel to Shepherds Bush, i have the correct tools.

  • I got one of those cheap ebay tools. A steak knife works better - the teeth/grooves makes it easier to engage the spring pins.

  • Probably a massive repost:

  • I really like that

  • Actually, I google shopped it... and it's even cheaper elsewhere. You can find it from around the mid £60 mark.
