  • has anyone ever used ultrasonic mouse reppellers.

we have had mice for ages now, tried humane traps, glue traps, and today i bought old school snap traps. caught 2 mice in less than an hour, but it's brutal and horrible. Didn't realise it was gonna be quite as awful as that.

So yea, do they repellers actually work, or does anyone have a better suggestions?

Mice are right buggers. The sonic emitters are total shit. The best advice is what Andy has said: Proof the exterior of the building and kill the ones that are present.

The key is to break the breeding cycle, as the young mice learn from their parents, including what parts of the house are dangerous to go and where the best food is.

Look for smear marks (black streaks) which can indicate the mice's main thoroughfares then stuff loads of wire wool and filler in any holes bigger than a pencil. Also check for holes in the ceiling and walls, as mice are well good climbers!

Then use sticky mats... but only if you're comfortable killing a mouse when you find them.

Or get a cat. Cat's are wicked.
