^^ needs bigger wheels to match the frame, in fact I often think that in this thread perhaps an 800c road wheel is needed for these big bikes to keep everything in proportion. Maybe some 200 mm cranks too. Obviously not race legal but for touring and commuting etc it would be great

OoO what frame is that?

Huge custom built Italian steel track bike. I was told it was a one-off Faggin built for a team rider. Constructed with very stiff tubing, probably Columbus.

Same frame.

^^^^I was at Davidson's shop in Seattle in June; upstanding guy and a real artisan. Mostly works with Ti these days, but his shop was full of examples of his steel work, along with a virtual museum of other builder's work including a Jack Taylor folder! Michael Jordan's 70cm Merckx
That'd fit me. Whered you find the pic?
-
• #272
No Andy, the question you should be asking is can you use it on your epic tour of the states?
-
• #273
Y'know, I reckon you can make a small single wheel trailer to haul that bike so you can go through some fantastic mountain on it while touring on the Surly.
Much like those yankee with their RV towing a convertible.

I'm 6'6" and ride a 61cm frame with ~15-20cm seatpost showing.
Im not even that leggy -
• #275
I must be unusually non-leggy then as I ride a similar set-up and I'm 6'8".
