  • Which was doubtless a very lovely thing to do- but my issue with that is that James (my cat) would then expect all rails to have grip-tape on them, potentially leading to a fall somewhere else.

    I'd rather he accepted that he might fall off, and temper any future exploits with that knowledge.

    An excellent example of risk compensation theory in practice.
