whats going on with the top of the headset? Non-orignal forks so the thread is longer so they put spacers?
didn't want to chop the fork steerer tube too short 'cuse i have never made up my mind on the headset etc.
hence - spacers for now
new owner can do that if he/she decides to do so

Can someone explain to me why people use deep rims on CX bikes?
Normal rims sink into the mud deep enough to let the mud ooze round the rim and accumulate around the spoke nipples. Deep rims avoid this; the mud only gets as far as the sidewall, where it is easily thrown off. Even if you sink deeper, the spoke bed on deep rims is narrow and pointed, so the mud still gets flung off, whereas box rims are more or less flat so the mud is on a very shallow slope and it sticks around.
