What is this NHS discount thing, I have just upgraded to an iphone 4s but havent got a deal anywhere near as good as that.

Im just about to receive an iPhone 4 I bought off ebay, but its locked to O2. I could go and find somewhere with an O2 sim and borrow the sim to get it unlocked but this is going to be quite difficult, as ill have to borrow the sim for 3+ days. Is there a way I can unlock the phone without having a sim from O2, or taking 3+ days? If I do have to borrow a friends, do I have to leave it in the phone for the 3 days?

why would you have to have it 3 days?
just go to any corner/dodgy phone shop, and they should be able to unlock cheaply

hey Apple heads!

this has probably been covered a million time but I was hoping someone could help me quickly - this girl I know has a french iPhone and her sim won't work here. Hey PAYG sim won't work in it either .. we took it to a phone shop and he said I had only one option- something called GEVEY sim adapter? Costs about £30 and you have to put in airplane mode or some other faff to get it to work, seems like a bit of a bodge. Is there any other way to get it working? I haven't a clue how this would work.

Flash will die a well deserved death and along with any webpage slow enough to not move to a far superior standard of video streaming.

Either that or Adobe will follow through with server-end video processing, and will stream all flash video content to devices cloud-style.

Bought it, and now I kind of wish I hadn't... I dunno, phones for a quick blast of a casual game. GTA eats hours, and I just don't find phone gaming comfortable for long periods of time.

Quite an achievement to get it running so well on a telephone though.

The old school style for GTA chinatown works really well though.

My 3GS has decided not to charge, every time I plug it in the message "charging is not supported with this accessory" is displayed (sometimes with a yellow warning triangle sometimes without). People in the apple store were clueless and none of the tricks I've found so far seem to work. So far I've tried multiple cabes/docks/plugs and given the charging hole a light scrub with a toothbrish and a blast of compressed air.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Quick question for iPhone 4 owner, does your phone still run smoothly and effectively after updating the OS from 4 to 5?

Learnt my lesson not to update until I'm sure, like how slow the iPhone 3 was after updating the OS to 4.

Ed. yes but that is because I only have iOS5 not 5.1. Reviews of 5.1 seem pretty negative.

Yeah, my 4 done it. Apple wanted £120, I took it to some one local and it cost £25.
Its the part inside thats broke!

New dock assembly has been purchased for £4, fingers crossed the surgery goes to plan. The disassembly instructions I've seen don't look too bad so I'm sure it'll be fine.

All fixed now, pretty simple job.

Has anyone repaired the home button on theres? Mines seems to be on the way out and instead of paying I'm sure I can fix it myself?!
