  • Looking for a pub in Esher. I'll be riding there on a Sunday afternoon with a gang of mates. Maybe a garden as the weather should be good?

    Thanks and ting!

The Wheatsheaf on Esher green is usually my choice , and its not in the middle of Esher.

  • Thanks guys, they're both really close to each other so might check them both out...

  • Ended in the Wheatsheaf and had probably one of the best burgers ever! great decor but we sat outside and took in the views of the green. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

  • Just need to go and collect my 10% now :-)

  • Anyone able to recommend a pub about London Bridge for a first date drink (not to swanky, not too busy)? Preferably with beer garden if the sun comes out again.

  • The Gladstone off Borough High St behind Borough tube - is lovely if you catch it on a reasonably quiet night (it is tiny though so sometimes too busy). I like the Lord Clyde - off Southwark Br Rd/ Marshalsea Rd and it has picnic tables in front for warm evenings.

  • V. familiar with the Gald. Might try the Lord Clyde since its right balmy out. Cheers.

  • Anyone recommend a central pub to watch the rugby? Preferably one thats not going to be ram packed. Was gonna head to three kings in west ken, but prefer somewhere more central. Ta

  • Anyone know of a pub quiz on tonight (Tues) in Finsbury Park ish area?

  • Anyone know of a decent pub for grub in kingston? No bike, so parking not important. Cheers

  • If you go up that road from kingston station towards richmond there's a couple of decent gastro type pubs up there. Otherwise kingston is a pile of shite for anything other than shopping and lager

http://www.theoldqueenshead.com/ is the one i was thinking of.

  • Woodys by the riverside,

Cheers, I'll head up that direction then.

The old queens head is showing as in Islington tho.

    Anyway, Thanks all the same.

The riverside is all new, I don't know it. Might be nicer

    Ok thanks matey

  • Can anyone suggest a nice pub or bar somewhere central (Soho-ish) for Friday night drinks, that isn't too loud and doesn't get too rammed? (If such a place even exists!?) Food not essential.

    Ta.

  • Given this a Bump,

Work leaving drinks at the Royal London,
I want to find some where near to the Brick Lane area, E1

Any ideas from the Collective Consciousness?
It os for drinking pre dinner, doesnt need to be flash.

  • Thanks Dave,
I will check it out when my work filter is not being absolutelyfuckingridiculous

  • I second the Pride. Good old fashioned pub, and rounds of 4 beers cost me under £12 on Saturday. Bargain.

  • Hello!

Can anyone recommend a nice country pub for a family Sunday roast in the Oxford area (not city centre, but surrounding villages)? One with reeeallly nice food would be great.

    Cheers!

  • The Trout
used to be good, but that was about 15 years ago, haven't been there in a long time. Also, it's right on the edge of Oxford, though it's a nice view of the river.

There are probably much better places further out, many villages round there have a nice pub.

There was a nice pub in Coombe, just next to Blenheim Palace (nice walks if that's your thing), again I've not been there in 10-15 years.

  • The Trout's not what it used to be. You're better off going a little further and to the White Hart at Wytham.

  • The trouts not really a pub anymore. Too gastro.

I can't remember which one of these is amazing for meat, but I think its the last one.
