I see. The cheap and dirty option is to sand the affected areas and then apply primer - you can get it from car shops, then get it painted when you can afford it.

It's really heavy paint, she's trying to slim the bike down a bit.

joni i think its worth spending the money on a bike you'll ride for some time. Knowing your habits i would say this is not you.
