My friend bought a brand new xbox roughly a year ago (31/12/10) and it broke a while ago, he sent it of to microsoft to be repaired and they've told him that the warranty if void because it had been opened and tampered with and thus want to charge him £150. He hasn't done this, i know he hasn't because he can barely word a screwdriver, but its their work against his. This is also his 3rd xbox (they've all broken), so he's a pretty loyal xbox customer. He phoned trading standards and they said to take it back to comet (where he bought it from) and complain, taking independent evidence with him. I've not a clue how he is meant to prove he didn't do it, can anyone make a suggestion?
apart from buy a PS3, that was the first thing i said.
