Aw lame.. Looked good from the gate
Its not too bad. It would be OK for some casual / beginner games, but if you have other courts like Brunswick Park, or even Newington or Quorn Road (any of the current crop of beginners ever been there?), not that far away, you'd be better off playing on somewhere flat.

Setting up a society is quite easy I think, A couple of friends just did it.. A few forms, ten people, BISH BASH BOSH. I believe associates is also the way with external peeps.. Can check it out next week
Surely you can just do it and then book the court with the lights under the club's name? There is hardly going to be someone checking at the gate to ensure that everyone using the court is a fully paid up member of the society.

You'd be surprised kev. Personally if I was setting it up I'd start the society and keep it all above board (the the point of having a constitution even and getting a bank account!) to start with until you are certain what the protocol is.
You could offer free assocciate membership to anyone in the lhbpa? Kev what's the reason not to make everyone that comes a member? Just takes some bits of Paper (or even a file, maybe an open google doc?) the actual transfer of money is not the important thing. -

Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. It'sa tennis court on a school ground we are talking about, so let Kit and I check it out first and then ask about the possibility of using it for polo. Coz the chances are it might just be a big fat no... :-(

I think you might increase your chances if you asked as the communication secretary of the university hardcourt polo society, rather than just another student! :)
Just my opinion though.

^ Is that an official title for us then? I like the sound of it.

I guess the questions to ask yourself is:
How long will you be at uni? How many people play polo at your uni? Is it worth the hassle of setting up a society? When you graduate, what happens then?

Any other beginners coming to the 24hr tourney is Cambridge at the end of the month? Thus far, just me I think. You don't need a team, just come solo. See the thread on the forum...

These are a bit better than Tom's link but you have to make the rod your self. Drilling the holes in the right place is tricky, but you just need a M5 bolt.
