Bergkamp was one of the best players I ever saw in the flesh, but I am not sure that I would agree that he was the best player in the Premiership. I would rate Henry higher, because he actually won stuff with his national team, whereas Bergkamp did not. Zola was fantastic, but again, he didn't win anything at the international level.
I did once see Dennis score with a shot that deflected off a defender's arse & looped up over the keeper (remember the deflection off Parker for the German goal in Italia 90 sf? it was like that), and he actually did not celebrate the goal at all, just sort of jogged away looking embarassed.
He is definitely my favourite player ever, even if there are 2 Dutch players arguably more gifted (Cruijff & van Basten), and a handful of contemporaries with comparable talent.
