  • I run a campag record 109 mm BB with my goldtech hubs and campy record crankset. If that is of any help to you

Thanks Mike, that sounds pretty close. I guess your campy record cranks look almost the same as the cranks in the link above? If so we could be onto something.

  • are the cranks road double? i reckon mikec is spot on with 109mm if so.

'road double'? Sorry you've lost me.

  • Do Goldtec still sell the old version of their trackhub with the odd 45/46mm chainline? Their site lists a standard and pro track hub but 42mm, I sent them an email but got a confusing reply and In still non the wiser, waiting for another reply from them but its been 1 week

  • If it's track pro then AFAIK it should be 42mm chainline. Could be that the person hwo responded to your inquiry got confused or so.

  • I hadn't realised that Goldtec track hubs are now a 42.5mm chainline rather than the previous 45mm until today. I'm thinking of ordering another set of wheels from BETD and could easily have missed this change.

When did they alter the chainline?

Anyone got the new versions and care to confirm/comment?

  • I never found out. If you buy a miche track hub, the single sided version, you can respace to 46mm chainline if needed as the axle is threaded the whole length, they use threaded cone races instead of machined axle races. The miche hub is assymetrical with standard 42mm so needs dishing.
I changed my mind on goldtec as they arent anything special, price is high because its a small company. They juts machine out of solid blocks of allu, just like lower budget hubs, they make the flanges thicker and use a larger diameter axle but blb are putting out a similar heavy duty hub and all city have novatec custom make a similar one .
id rather a forged hub, lighter weight not that it matters much
