  • This is a live-blogging of my first Grind experience.

This is the real 2.0 shit.

First glimpse, I'm walking from East Putney station, it's a bit further than expected but am hoping it'll be worth it.

Walking down Lower Richmond Road. Nice area.

I forgot my glasses so can't see very far - Hope I haven't missed it on the right side of the road.

Score - it's on the left as you head West.

Exterior, it's just rained so there are lots of wet looking chairs outside. Several yummy mummy sorts pushing prams in and out.

Inside, clean, modern - but not silly, trendy music. Greeted by two of the three staff the second I walk in.

I've just ordered an espresso which comes quickly. Very nice.

Second up is a FW - just OK. Dish is chipped. Milk prep is poor and has basically turned this into a cappa. Very frothy on top with a not very viscous body. But again, the espresso is well pulled and has lovely flavour.

It's nice and certainly seems to be leagues ahead of anything else in the area. But I still think I'll be bringing my porlex and aeropress for work rather than popping down here daily. It's a good 10/15 minute walk from the office I'm using. It's much more of a lazy Sunday morning with the papers type gaff.

    Maybe I should move.

Thanks for watching, viewers - you've been great. Next week - McDonalds, Feltham.
