Hi all, thought I'd ask the question here rather than starting a new post.
I've had a frame lacquered and powdered by Armourtex - looks great - but now I need to apply the decals. It's a Lynx Cycles frame and I've managed to get original decals direct from the frame builder (who is now 95 years old!).
The decals are 'solvent applied transfers'. Here's what the frame builder said..."The transfers are metholated spirit but we find you get better results giving them a coat of transfer varnish"
I then contacted Nick from hlloydcycles.com and he recommended I don't try to apply them myself and should go to a specialist.
So, any advice? Can anyone recommend a specialist in London? Or should I go ahead and try myself?
