Makan (real value for money - especially the nasi campur), C&R (Soho) are both good, I'm sure you know of Rasa Sayang in Soho which is not bad either. But Paddington rules the roost for Malaysian food for me, Satay House, Tudkin and Delima are all nice, Bali Bali when in the West End is nice as well.
Going for a nasi goreng sayur NOW!
I agree with the W2 tip, although disagree with Satay house and Delima. Admittedly, partly for personal reasons, and mainly because I have high standards due to my foodie malay mother.
Delima had a high turnover of inadequate chefs, and have recently shut down. And I've just never really rated Satay house, having been there a fair few times over the last 15 - 20 years, it's just too expensive and too hit and miss for my liking.
I'm being taken to www.awana.co.uk next week, and look forward to it having not been there, as it would normally be a bit pricey for me.
