• Thankyou. Tempted as I think a 15t on the back would be perfect.

I think I'll go with 48x16. It's about 22mph at 90rpm (I think). A bit spiny but that might work out ok.

Fuck it. If It's windy or something it might work in my favour.

  • I hope it's not, or I'll have to drop to a 14T

  • I've just realised the smallest cog I own is a 16t. So I'll not be troubling the top 10.

    Meh.

my knees would be screwed using less than 16t :o ive got 48:16 seems versatile

  • But a little small for 25miles racing if you're vaguely fit.

  • Pretty sure I was on 48/16 last year and came 6th. Think 15 might've been a bit much in places, and would definitely recommend a front brake, lost a few seconds because of it.
Think I might've been with you oz? Did we both overshoot the turning and run the scenic route back to the group by ourselves?

  • I got second last year on 72" (36x13) Thought I was sprinting to win but Ed had gone solo a long time before.

  • You guys might wanna look at Tav Walker....didn't come far behind Wiggins in the national 10. He's a local from Bath who will be racing it too.

  • The hacksaw's has more in common with the wacky races and Mario cart than the nationals.

I'm already rigging my bike with banana skins and oil spills. Just need to sort out the lightning strikes and shrinking thing and the prizes will be all mine, all mine.

  • ^ remember to stay in second place til right at the end otherwise you will get hit by a blue shell.

  • Watch out for the dreaded ink.

  • Watch out for the dreaded spunk!

  • Can I be Princess?

  • no, your toad

  • Good news kids, Bath city council have caught wind of the importance of this race and are busily resurfacing part of the route. So feel free to get out the 19mm tubs. Virgin tarmac here we come.
And who doesn't like a virgin?

  • weather looks sub-optimal :(

  • Fuckin' weather. I feel sorry for all the spectators lining the streets.

  • Ok, who's up for a bit of pre race socialising? I know 9pt is going to be in Brizzle for a few hours before and I can get there for anytime. I hardly know the city so if anyone know of a half decent place to spend time for an hour, suggestions welcome.

  • weather looks alright. think I'm probably still coming. going to make sure i don't take it seriously though, stress free that way.

  • Ed and Christian will be in Hooters. Testing out the stretch qualities of their new skinsuits.

  • on my way woop woop

  • Have fun! Done this one before? I spent 10 years doing this journey every day (in a car) so was pretty tempted. Fireworks and beer won though.

  • good luck 6pt. hope its not too windy there for the spok n' disc combo!

  • Gonna enjoy watching 6pt while I ride on my low V's
