so spent a few hours at the LBS... faced the bb and installed the headset, took her for a quick spin and it feels great! very short but the set back post and long stem make it feel fine generally - hitting bumps is a little scary but once i get the 3 speed fixed hub in i think she will be ridden regularly for any rides under 30 miles or so. will tape up the bars tomorrow and build up the new wheel over the next week or so. chuffed. full set of pics here...
for those who havn't read the previous posts it's a 1979 58cm MKM ultimate TT frameset built just a mile or so from where i live, fillet brazed, stripped and clearcoated, to be used as my general short ride fast fixed gear winter bike. ti erikson post, sram cranks and brakes, ceramic open pros, grammo stem with bontrager compact drops, currently goldtec wheels, soon to be a sturmey archer s3x on the rear and a 55t chainring to get my right ratios once it's 3 speed
