They did the same deal with their Pro Carbon frame last year, amazingly. A friend of mine bought one. It took a veeery long time to come through, it ended up with FSA cranks and Planet-X brakes, and PX wheels instead of the Fulcrums it was specced with, but it had the Red mechs and levers and he did indeed pay £999.
