Sturdy deep rims and low spoke count = tough but fun training wheels. They look good value.
As SF says... comfort isn't an issue really for 20-40 mile rides (week night rides etc).
I use a pair of Aksiums for this. They keep coming back from the dead and do the job just fine.
After 120 miles on a wet Sunday my arse disagrees. The rest of the time... I totally agree.
Which is essentially what I want. To be honest the zertz things in my S-Works Roubaix make it so comfy I think I could sacrifice some comfort in wheels in exchange of something that would be stiff / not flexy - I seem to be able to get most factory wheels to move around when out of the saddle
