I'd be too concerned that as my technique breaks down, and it will, the only other option would be walking with no option of jogging or clumsily heel striking my way to the finish.
I only bought them to stop me over training between now and December, otherwise i'll hit 20 miles between now and then as i did for my last marathon, capable of running reasonably comfortably at 7 min mile pace for up to 10 miles, running 50 miles in a week and be in injury hell by the time I get to April, no the next couple of months is about shedding as much weight as possible, improving flexibility, strength and speed, distance start in December/January.
In other news I ran my first sub 8 min mile commute of the year!
5.2 miles in 41 minutes, so only just and annoying close to the sub 40 minutes but not bad considering that includes stopping at some traffic lights along the way.
