track stem and risers again...
have you just recently been introduced to these bikes? it is a track bike, not on the track. it happens.

I made some new decals for my Mash as the other ones got scratched off. I also added a more comical addition inline with the Sci-Fi theme i have. I also flipped the stem over which im sure will get many cries of 'what's the point of having a lo-pro and flipping the stem.' The simple answer is that I have a long ride to my new job and though the bike is rideable the other way, it is more comfortable this way.

It's not the stem it's the bar angle that made me say WTF!?

I have no idea, it's a 4 year old one a swapped of my old Santa Cruz singlespeed to get me around when I snapped the old one. I keep meaning to replace it but it runs smooth and silent so i figure ill leave it on till things change.

up + down = balance? wrong.
-
• #51967
Track stems with risers are fine, except that if you ask somebody with that set up to carry an envelope from Paddington to King's Cross it takes a long time because they go via Hyde Park Corner.

I'm going to neg rep the next person who tries to persuade us using a drop-stem with risers is a bad idea.
It's happens because;
a/ People who own track bikes often have drop-stems.
b/ EVERYONE has a pair of risers knocking around.
c/ putting that shit together is in no way worse than using a standard stem, then hunting down a flat bar with some sweep (they're not common). -

Track stem and riser debate.... so you reckon regular stem and flat bars would look better? Please >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Their website says they use Ti-6Q2.
Considering the price difference between most pedals and their ti axled versions the cost is quite minimal. They set me back a little over £40 including shipping and were very easy to install.
@Dammit
I used the cages yesterday with a Tune 750ml conical bottle and it wasn't much fun, they were too tight and didn't want to release the bottle. But today I went with the Tacx Source bottles Piotr provided with them and they work perfectly.
