My practical beater
531 (main tubes only I think) Carlton frame, Deore/MA40 wheelset, mix of other bits from spare parts I had lying around. Biopiss chainring (because I had it in my bits box) - can't say I've noticed any difference. Sheldon says chain tension isn't a problem, but I think otherwise... it's fine for singlespeed but I wouldn't want to try it fixed. Frame is protected with linseed oil which gives it the slightly yellowish look - no rust at all though, and it dries to a hard gummy finish.
