i don't think you need the GXP tool. I fitted my omniums GXP BB just by hand and then you just need a big allen key (forget which size) to fit the cranks. make sure there is no play though, if there is take them off and start again
Dunno, was jut going to take it to an LBS... a tenner is a small price to pay for peace of mind, and now I've found an LBS I like, good to support them where I can.
Yeah, they probably only make the tools for fun. You don't really need the bottom bracket done up tight. :)
Malaysian, the bike is lookin rad. Love raw with black components. Is it bare steel or have you had it clear coated?
Cheers, just raw at the minute, have oiled it up with WD40, going to see how I get on... I mean, it's going to be a pretty fair weather bike. If it starts to suffer then I'll clean it down and coat it.
^if the cranks are on properly the BB can't move. I've been riding them 8 months without issue, probably soon to be in epic fail thread no doubt..
