Right, this should by rights go in a general training thread, but this seems to be the closest we have.
The following is my "standard" week, which I always try to follow- but I will miss things out as work (usually) or social events (sometimes) demand.
Sunday- 60 miles club run on the bike
Monday- 16-20 mile commute, hours walk at lunch, hours run in the evening
Tuesday 16-20 mile commute, hours walk at lunch, hour in the gym in the evening
Wednesday 16-20 mile commute, hours walk at lunch, hours run in the evening
Thursday 16-20 mile commute, hours walk at lunch, hours gym in the evening
Friday 16-20 mile commute, hours walk at lunch, hours run in the evening
Saturday DIY
So a typical week would be 80 miles commuting and 60 miles at pace cycling, 25 km of running, and two hours in the gym, maybe one more hours worth of gym on either Saturday or Sunday.
The intention is to be generally fit, to get faster on the bike, and to be able to complete the Roubaix and a couple of Triathlons in 2012 without shaming myself.
What should I stop/start/continue?
And yes, adding some swimming would be a start from the Triathlon point of view!
