I agree with you. Very gonzo, too glib and much too ready to string together tenuous trails of evidence. I say that as somebody who enjoys barefoot running and thinks there may be a lot in what some of its advocates say, but the Born to Run approach is something Ben Goldacre would take great joy in ripping apart.
That said, some of the chapters made me just want to go out and run.
