Personal preference surely, I used to ride 42 x 18 on the road and likewise 32 x 18 off road. I just don't understand how people choose to pull such large gears.

42 18 ? ? ? i would find that unbearable... i ride 52 17 or 52 16
48 16 on my langster but i get bored with all the spinning
