The Paris was Pinarello's high end aluminium frame from circa 1998. The idea for the name probably came from the then dominance Pinarello had in the Tour de France, having riders on their bikes winning the race in 1988, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997.
