Moving from flat with cat flap allowing unfettered cat exit/entry (oh hai, need rubbies at 3am, 5am, 7am etc) to one that might not allow a cat flap.
How might one manage the situation if flappy access to garden was denied?
Speak to Dammit ... he put together a sisal wound pipe that the cat climbs up to get in a window ... or something.
We currently live on the first floor, with a balcony (although this solution would work with a window alone I reckon)- £4 rainwater drainpipe, wrapped in Sisal rope attached to (in our case) the balcony railings, reaching down to about a metre above the ground.
The cats are very happy to jump up onto it and climb up, and also down:
We just open the door to the balcony to let them in or out- although a cat flap is on the list to put in the glass door.
