  • [NO LONGER FOR SALE - TOO MANY HOSTILE AND AGRESSIVE REPLIES]

No one has been aggressive or hostile.

    Implies I'm lying.

    Does no such thing

I agree, but try telling that to all the bike shops in London.

    This isn't a shop

Bikes in shops are at least 50% more than the build cost. Profit to manufacturer, profit to shop etc etc. So it' was actually a good deal

    This isn't a shop

  • 'Hilly' Ben.

Quite right, i'm not hilly in any sense.

    duh

  • I would just like to point out that this sort of thing has happened before (Matp) I think had his Nag 'for sale' to appease the better half.

Let's just let it go, hardly a biggie yo.

  • ^I bow to your good sense

^^and the sheer weight of this thoughtful argument

  • ^^Agreed, you always get one or two er, characters, on these forums.

  • That's one reason why ebay's generally better for this kind of thing

You can't have an argument on eBay tho

  • I'm up for it if you are

  • How could it cost 1100 to build?
    Groupset 245
    Frame 160 plus powder coating
    Stem 58
    Khamsins are cheap..

    I haz no math skillz

  • Jesus! Give the lad a break...!

If it sells, it sells, if it doesn't, it doesn't...

what is it with these forums?!?

You seem straight up ElPrez. I don't think everyone on here has the time to 'police' the sales section, thank god!

  • What it is with these forums is that they're a place to buy and sell without the inflated prices you get everywhere else you go.

  • The Condor looks tastey.

    Is it a veloce groupset?

Then why don't you go on some other thread and slag someone else off if it make you so happy.

    Is it a veloce groupset?

    Yup.

Have taken new pix which I'd intended to post. Have been distracted somewhat! Here they are.

Wasn't intending this as a re-post, it was just a mention of updated photos, sorry about that.

    The pedals aren't included.
I bought the bike in the sale at Condor bikes last October for £1,275.00 (have receipt). Its original price was, they said, around £1,500.00. I changed the original Aliante saddle for a Turbo recently as I find it more comfortable. The turbo is almost brand new.
The bike has had light use and is in excellent condition. They tyres are new (weeks old).
PRICE NOW £849.00 pre eBay and/or parts breakdown which would be a real shame as it's a lovely ride!

    Frame: 58cms
    Groupset: Full Campagnolo Veloce
Crankset: Compact 50/34 and the cassette is 13-29
    Wheels: Campag Vento Reaction G3
    Tyres: New Vittoria Rubino
    Seatpost: Carbon
Frame: Dedacciai Zero Replica triple-butted steel with Boron
Fork: Condor Nero Forza 5 full carbon
    [PLEASE NOTE: Pedals not included]
The steel frame is one of the lightest made. The ride is fast and responsive as well as being comfortable.
The frame geometry can be looked up on the Condor website.
    **I'm 6'3" but the frame should suit anyone from 5'10" - 6'3" **
I'm live in South West London near Clapham Common for viewing.

The new 2011 Acciaio frameset is £749 at Condor.

Thanks, it's a bit like being beaten up! (Which I was once, in a chip shop in 1977). But I can take care of myself now. Grrrrrrrrr watch out 'Hilly' Ben, I'll be the one right behind you on my time trial bike looking scary. PS The clue's in the size of the Acciaio frame.

Send me your email address and I'll send you the spreadsheet, seeing as you're questioning my veracity. (Frame 160 + postage btw)

    For posterity

  • doesnt really matter what it cost to build , i mean the bike is clearly very nice but would have been nicer with a vintage build , but still £1250 for a average groupset and average wheels ?

your blog looks like a nice read but try ebay for the sale !

  • you might get £500 on the bay but then you got the fees ........

Cheers mate that's very helpful. If only you'd been around when I built the bike I might not have bothered.

  • sorry just being truthful , i could swap for my saab 900 ?

  • I like that white Rossin, would go well with my white track Rossin
