Sorry Andy. I'd only got about 4 weeks "training" before the event, hadn't really seen it before, and was then ill for one of my 4 weeks. I got a bit nervous, decided against 44 x 22. Then, Sainsbury's Ed stepped in with the Ribble and it was all go. Never ridden a compact before, bit weird. But the bike itself is great. All the bike i'll need....
PART-TIME DAD ; )
(envious? me?)Well done Damo. I'm sure the girls are very proud.

Sorry to have missed it this year. Was that you with the camera at 2:20 FWN?
Ha, ha yeah, I was chatting to Matt then we both stopped to take a shot of the next rider and he turned and said "you're is in it now" :D
Lucky it wasn't a face shot or it would have cracked his lense. He shoots that on a Hacked Lumix digital camera and a 50mm Canon FD lense at 50 fps

The Sky colours match the club colours near on perfectly!
I did mean to introduce myself to you but our paths didn't cross. I'm pretty sure it was you that said hello the previous Sunday as you passed me 'towing' a struggling rider up the North Cray Road.

Probably I head out to the start of the club run at Farnborough Sunday morning sometimes, I would have been on my red bike, bald head and Catford CC top :D were you with the L.E.C group by the bus stop opposite the Church?

Pretty sure it was you - you certainly match the description. I was out with the LEC group doing backstop duties. The rest of the group were waiting up at Ruxley Corner IIRC.

I love that you guys still do Hill climb races, when I first started racing I used to read about the races in England. Chris Boardman was one but he was young at the time.
Like him, I did pursuits, time trial and loved racing up hills.
S/F,
CEYA!
Awesome work Damo..
