i've run 35mm ritchey crossmax when off-roading.
they will fit with brakes, brakes are deep drop so loads of room.
there might have been 3mm more clearance but they were pretty tight.
you also might have to buy a new chain as the wheel will need to sit in a different spot in the track ends.
