I can't remember who I was talking to last night, but if you could get some cheap poles from a charity shop then it'd be great, but don't spend too much on ski poles, as poles are only £7 each from LHBPA. I have not yet any xperience using them, but they've been tested by many of the "big boys" aka experienced players.
I am likely to be heading up a group buy of THIS. I only have very little experience with them but I think the general comment is they are lighter but don't last as long? (Someone please correct me if I am bullshitting)
The heads from LHBPA are also great, I have yet to make my mallet with the one I bought.
So there are plenty of choices and I have too much time in my hands when I am in the office that I could really be practising polo instead. I hate my job.
So shall we start some lists of mallets making and stuff buying?
