In my eyes you lost control of your bike when you put your hand on the fence and your cockpit wouldn't have been invaded if your hand was on your bars (shoulder-to-shoulder, etc), but there's really nothing to call here I think?
It would have been nice if Iain hadn't invaded your space/cockpit and had instead backed out of the situation/pivot turned/whatever, but it was a mistake to put your hand on the fence and (possibly) and overly-aggressive move by Iain to get clear of the situation (no foul). Most players will do anything to avoid being stuck on a fence (lean/power through/tussle/etc)...

There's a thread on LOBP at the moment discussing hands on fences (and some other Worlds rules), I think hands on fences is a bad thing because it invites players to get tangled up with one another, but others disagree: http://leagueofbikepolo.com/forum/rules/2011/09/29/lets-make-this-easier-for-the-refs
The rules we're currently using don't mention any of this though, this is all just opinion, nothing to see here really, etc.
