I've looked into lights a bit and it doesn't look like the actual lights are the problem. You can get Halogen or LED spots for around a tenner each and some come with clamps etc for easy attachment to the courtside.
I've texted Ady to ask about how many/what wattage we would need to light a court.
The problem would most likely be a generator/ generators (or miles of cable) which seem to be around £300 (£100 for some seriously gnarly looking ones).

This is what they had in Bristol.
Another option would be getting LED lamps and running them on a car battery!
It is definitely an idea to keep an eye out for a cheap generator on gumtree and ebay.
£300 (genny) + £50 (lights) + £20 (cables) = £370 / polo crew = £30 each + diesel per session
