I don't understand why its still in production. Some things don't work, Italain BB threads being one. Its a fuc up. When will they realise Italian threads are so wrong ?
A while ago, there were just 3 kinds of BB threads: British, French and Italian (okay, besides that there were some unique systems that didn't really belong to a standard like Thompson, press-in systems like Gazelle, BMX stuff).
They all worked pretty well and life was simple.
Nowadays there are so many kinds (like head set bearings), that there is no longer a standard. And each system has a life cycle of max. 2 years.
