I've sent the pictures to Farsports and asked if this is standard.
To be honest it doesn't seem to have any detrimental affect on braking, which is the biggest concern, I do think that the pads are wearing fast- but then I have nothing to compare the wear rate with.
I'd prefer the brake track to be flat simply because I think it should be really.
