Then we should have a London Fixed section.
Splitting is the way of Socialism surely.

There are actually two Clarion Clubs. The larger one is the National Clarion CC. The smaller, and the one Digger has joined, is the National Clarion CC 1895. The latter was formed as an offshoot after a rather acrimonious disagreement between the socialists and the 'non-politicals'. The Secretary of NCCC, Charles Jepson, who had done so much to restore the fortunes and the passion of the club, was sidelined then ousted. His local section, Oakhill Clarion, seceded, and others followed.
I am a member of both. I enjoy the commitment of 1895, but also the comradeship of the (really rather political) Brighton & Hove Section of NCCC.
Sadly, the London Section of NCCC is not very active.

No fixed only militia plz... have only my roadbike and cx conveyances these days. Fixed was too puritanical and uncompromising in its political belief of maximal knee joint abrasion for me to continue to support it. Either way, nice one for getting this going Digger- looking forward to riding when I'm not being exploited by the capitalist machine...

Fuck badges, let's get some ink...

Or a branding iron?

ha.. badges, ink, branding. Like planning a revolution and wondering what to wear for the post-campaign photo-shoot!
What about starting with some rides... maybe a saunter round/out of town finishing at Karl Marx's grave in Highgate cemetary followed by a couple of beers? Been meaning to go there and check it out since I've been in London-just an idea, I'm sure there's a lot more places of interest that are topical also.

Errrrrggghh...

OK, let's start by fracturing and splintering.
Joe can take the group that wants ink and not to ride.
EEI can be in the group that wants cake and not to ride.
Volunteers needed for the group who want badges and not to ride.
As for the rest, we need a debate as to whether rides should be compulsory or not and how routes are to be determined. Should Garmins be allowed? Should right turns be prohibited?
I'm interested but a little confused. I just looked at the Clarion website and it says that there is a London chapter (secretary Martin Perfect) but no link or details.
