Android phones, apps and tablets

Does anyone know if there is a way to share a WiFi connection via android?

Will be on the move next month and have paid for wifi access for one device, but obviously it would be nice if that could be turned into a hotspot to connect lots of devices too.

Ideas?

if you tether to the laptop via usb you might be able to share your internet connection via wireless on the laptop. i know i can do both independently with my "i-crap" devices but never tried both at the same time.

but then why can't you just turn your phone into a wireless hotspot? or doesn't it support that?
