You reformatted the card, wiping it clean, I'm afraid there's no way you can get it back G, there's little hope of getting it back.

8GB is like a fiver nowaday.

G, have you plugged it in and have a butcher in the card from the computer?

Give this one a try (first on i looked at so dunno) as they have a free version to try. There seems to be loads on the market for varying prices.
I have had some pretty miraculous successes recovering Red camera rushes even when the computer and the camera say that the drive is empty so keep on trying.

Formatted the memory card through the camera menu, it found the images pretty quickly.

It's freeware too.

Program I use is Photorescue. Works a treat everytime. Important thing is don't use the memory card again until you have recovered the files.
