I am going to build up a set of wheels for my commuter/touring bike with hope hubs and open pros I am planning to go 32 holes or would 28's be sufficient? I weigh 11 stone.
Definitly go 32 hole for loaded cycling. Also, go for a wider rim. So you can run wider tyres. More weight, means more PSI required, means uncomfortable. So give yourself the option of running 28/32mm tyres, as this means you can drastically lower the tyre pressure for a given total weight.
