Backing you 2 up I remember reading about a photographer out in the Afghan war who was using 2 olympus P&S cameras, one in black and white and the other in colour, his pictures were awesome from what I remember.
High ISO on digital cameras is much better now for available light than film ever was so what more can people want unless they want to wank off pixel peeping all day?
