No, but their promo spending is vast compared with their turnover, so they get on Pro bikes enough to fool mugs that they're worth buying.

its just come CNC 90ies shit no?

Ritte?

Of the massive bike brands Spesh is the hardest to hate because they will do bikes like these for mass market.

Wrong.
That's ritte.

Theres absolutely no reason for me to have one, but I want one of those spesh...maybe with a free wheel tho

It haz a freewheel. Convertible fix/free, innit? Does anybody else think 25/10 is a bit high geared for a play bike? That's 65" with the 26" wheels.

Ed Wonka rides 70+ I think.
Rotor... Are they not heavy but v stiff (for boutique cranks), or am I just perpetuating the myth?
-
• #469
I'm assuming that was at Eurobike. They seemed to get the details more "LFGSS-approved" with the road version
http://roadcyclinguk.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/eurobike-2011-one-101-1024x768.jpgthat's a really faithful replica! peugeot i am impressed.

(for boutique cranks)
There's the rub. DuraAce kills pretty much any boutique crank for balancing stiffness and weight, because forging hollow cranks allows them much more freedom in shaping both the outer shape and the hollow centre.

Those Ritte abominations are the last straw. I don't want to know anything else about any 2012 bikes any more. :)

The Specialized P Fix seems to be available now for £650

'Cool" people don't buy Specialized which is why it will probably be a flop. They made some nice BMXes a few years back, the top of the line Fuse was good but no-one probably bought one.
Looks like a nice bike, especially when reduced to £400 in a few months.! But then I have always been partial to a bit of nicely matched anodising due to me being a child of the early 80's BMX heyday...

I know. People just hate Shimano!
DA (or Ultegra) would probably give the best shifting too. One reason for Rotor perhaps is that all these bikes are using the bb30 bottom bracket shells which AFAIK shimano haven't taken advantage of yet.

Not so heavy. But a tad more than red/SR/DA. They are bloody well made, and stiff as feck. Also, dont those^ cranks come with alu axles? My rotors have a nice steel one.
They drill out the core, which is'nt as clever as the way Shimano does it. But then CNC isnt the best way to make stuff either, just the sexiest (in my dodgy opinion).
The chainrings seem to work against a fluid pedal stroke when cruising. Forcing you to regress slightly to stamping up and down, to compensate for the periodic extra GI. This effect is pretty subtle though, and I havent tried moving the rings around (might just move the inner clockwise one bolt). But when you give it the beans, they combine with the stiff cranks, to give an excellent responsive feel.
they just keep coming...
