I realise that the frame will have a miniscule amount more flex. But the real issuse is the headset placement.
How much do you think you can flex the headtube + steerer between the headset? A: Feck all
How much can you flex 10cm+ of exposed steerer alone, using a 21cm or so lever? A: A notable amount.
This why an extended headtube is a far better solution (if less versatile), than a spacer stack.
