*Without *going off on an anti-US/Israeli tangent can someone explain the argument behind the US's opposition to a Palestinian state?
Is it simply a case of defining borders? Or is it because it's seen as a high pressure tactic that's pissing Israel off?
"Peace can only be achieved around the negotiating table. The Palestinian attempt to impose a settlement will not bring peace,"
I'm just at a bit of a loss as to why they're vetoing it.
