• Asus Eee transformer tablet (and added keyboard)

    I bought one of these.

Logic was i started wanting an ipad2 but i didnt want to use itunes. I wanted to be able to sync with my pc and drag and drop files.
I wanted to buy a new laptop but wanted it to be transportable and usable around the house (i have a behemoth 17.5" laptop that might as well be a desktop)
Previously i looked into netbooks but i wasnt 100% thrilled by them. Then this caught my attention. Tablet and attachable keyboard turning it into a proper laptop.

It also has a slot for a micro SD so i have doubled the size of the tablet for only about £30. And it has a USB port which apple has neither.

So far, its a lovely machine. Powerful for all my needs at the moment. I am struggling using the file manager and the drag and drop though. But i think thats simply cause i am not used to the OS yet.
Keyboard doesnt always communicate 100% with the tablet. But i have bought thumb keyboard app and makes using the tablet on its own a lot easier. (recommended for any tablet that you need to hold in 2 hands).
Battery life is epic with the keyboard attached (about 16 hours).

The finish on the Transformer is lovely. I much prefer it to the ipads finish. Build quality is also very good.
