  • Thanks for the input!

I see your point but i'm not planning to make that many changes, most of the parts are already bought.
Colour coordination is nothing to be afraid of,especially not on a Cinelli frame,
at least I'm not planning to go all pink/magenta-conversion and shit, just trying to be loyal to the fine frame details:

Some of the inspiration came from one of my old builds, a Vicini Cromor.

But i'm trying to keep this build a bit more simple.

  • :)
pretty much. I've put my Omnium cranks on, and it's going to get a yellow saddle, probably a turbo and black bars/stem, probably airwings but I'm toying with the idea of risers.

sumo, black saddle and try find either tape or grips (depending on your bar chioce) in that creamy yellow or if it fails white ones.

    trust me.

  • I did read it yes, but I have just joined, nobody knows me. Would you act like this to a complete stranger on the street? My guess is that lots of people on here think they can say what they like and hide behind their computers.

anyway thats the end of it, I can't be arsed chatting about this any more im gonna go and have a wank over my Brooklyn as I just discovered Ive finished the polish ;-)

Having been on a train with Prancer, there is at least one forum member who would.

It's a Cinelli, just ask yourself "what would a proud Italian do?"

I think I'd choose a pair of Vittoria tyres over the vorsrung durch schwalbe GmbH. But it's your bike, and all cool.

  • "what would a proud Italian do?"

    shall we start a list?

  • 1: eat cinnamon eggwhites
    2: comb hair
    3:

    ...you go next.

Live with your Mum until you're well into your 40s?

  • Low. AFAIK no Italians currently live with my mum.

  • A proud Italian would behave like Jesus;

1 - live at home into his thirties

2 - maintain an unswayable belief his mother is a virgin

  • Claud Butler road/track - will be built to a bit of a budget... san marco ergo saddle, 3t bars and stem, cottered cranks on the way with some dunlop lightweight wheels.

Sorry - phone pic and crap lighting, will take a better one when it's done

  • I like the cables that length, looks good to me.

they could be lighter need to get some Nokons

  • Discussed those with Jim- never put them on as he seems to hate them

    Gorgeous. But cottered cranks?

  • cottered cranks?

    Period correct, innit?

  • Discussed those with Jim- never put them on as he seems to hate them

    Why? They're no problem.

  • Period correct, innit?

    yeah, but....

  • Why? They're no problem.

He mentioned that having them on the bike made the same sound as someone shaking a bag of scrabble tiles for the entire time you are riding.

  • doesn't object use nokons? i don't remember a rattling noise

  • No, neither do I, however Jim was quite emphatic.

Anyway, my bike is finished, I might get Nokon when I next re-cable it, but I'm not changing any components until they break now- hit my targets for it, just in time for winter, rather annoyingly.

  • Will check the stronglights out

  • Stronglight/TA specialite.

Went to a jumble sales today (Brookwoods), finally managed to get the right crank extractor for my TA crank, hurrah!

  • Cool cervelo tt in the back!
